Peak Games - Toy Blast Game Trailer
Our studio had the great honour of collaborating with Peak Games in producing this Toy Blast trailer. A fast-paced, action-packed animation will put a smile on your face.
Launched in 2015, Toy Blast has steadily become one of the most popular puzzle games globally. By combining the intuitive tap-and-blast game mechanic with best-in-class art direction. Today, with more than 200 million downloads, Toy Blast has become a daily source of joy across the world.
BRIEF:
Peak Games wanted to release a trailer for their monumental game Toy Blast and looking for a fresh vision. Visual storytelling had to be relevant to gameplay and mechanics. The trailer must be entertaining and engaging to retain and gain new players. On all other topics, the fantastic team of Peak Games were open to collaboration.
CHALLENGES:
Toy Blast has a lead female character in the game, a young and skilful girl called Amy. She creates, collects and plays with her knitted toys. During the actual gameplay, she rescues her toys from obstacles and solves puzzles.

That bit was the starting point of our story development. We wanted to build a world around Amy and created an action-adventure story without sacrificing relevancy to the game. We had to fulfil the requirements in a 30-second video, which should work on various social media size formats.
UNIQUE SOLUTION:
We imagined Amy's world as dreamy, boundless and magical. Big blocks are towering like skyscrapers and life all above clouds.

In our story, Amy is smart, energetic and brave. She travels through the Toy Blast Universe with her sidekick Elephant Toy. They stumble open a booster block called "Puzzle Cube" which can break multiple blocks at the same time, a valuable asset. But that Puzzle Cube is a trap, and our heroes have to deal with the outcomes.
We kept the relevancy to the game on the highest level, breaking blocks with boosters and game mechanics of the Puzzle Cube were incorporated in the story.

FORMAT:
We highly recommend checking the vertical format, it has more to offer. Camera angles and action scenes have a different taste than the horizontal version. And as you can experience the square format can deliver fun and storytelling.
